A pearl lot is more than a product name. Before choosing a strand or loose pearl lot, compare the measurements, weight, pearl count, surface, luster, shape direction, and the way the pearls are matched.
Start with the measurable details
- Size: record the actual millimeter range, not only the collection label.
- Weight: strand weight helps you compare lots and plan production.
- Count: the number of pearls per strand affects spacing and design yield.
Then evaluate the visual direction
Look at luster, surface marks, drilling, overtone, and shape consistency together. Baroque and keshi pearls are naturally individual, so the right question is whether the character fits your design rather than whether every pearl is identical.
Ask for the current batch
Freshwater pearl stock changes by lot. Request current photos or video when matching, color, surface, or repeat supply matters. The final selection should be confirmed against the live batch before production.
